Adobe launches Appliness

I may be biased, but this is very cool news. Today, fellow evangelist Michaël Chaize announced the launch of Appliness, a new, and free, digital magazine specifically written for web application developers. You can read his blog entry with details on the creation of the magazine, or simply download it yourself. It is available (again, for free) for iOS and Android. It will soon be available in the Amazon store as well. Adobe Digital Publishing Suite was used to create the magazine.

In the first edition you can find articles on Backbone, jQuery Mobile, debugging JavaScript (by yours truly), Canvas, PhoneGap, HTML5, and more. Check it out today!

Likely to have CF content?

Not sure. :) I read this more as client-side development, not server-side.

Garry - I'd recommend posting on Michael's blog. (Not telling you I _can't_ help, but Michael should be better able to answer.)

I have to say...that is a weird name. My brain keeps reading it as 'Apple-y-ness'.

Remember - we love Apple.

Google Play says "This app is incompatible with your Verizon Motorola DROID2" :(

Must be for tablets only?

Comment 8 by Raymond Camden posted on 3/28/2012 at 6:54 PM

That was my understanding.

well not available for small or medium screen size phone I guess. Tried with my modified Nook tablet and S2 but seem like doesn't work

Seems sensible as a tablet-based app.
